Providing work-ready graduates for the CIS Industry
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) and the ASISA Academy are offering companies and B.Comm (Investment Management) students an opportunity to participate in a specialist Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) programme which will prepare graduates to enter the CIS industry.
Companies will select students from a pool of UJ's final year B.Comm students and sponsor their participation on the course. The one-month course will be run by the ASISA Academy, drawing on its experience of running similar courses. It will draw on the expertise of multiple industry practitioners who will present on their specialist topics. The ASISA Academy will run a CIS industry focussed course aimed at supplying the industry with work-ready graduates.
The graduates will gain valuable knowledge and exposure to a range of industry experts during the course and then be able to apply this learning in the workplace during a twelve-month internship commencing immediately after the Academy input.
